Tonči and Toma were so generous to have opened up this end of season tour for us and they offered us an incredible itinerary that we’re not sure would have been matched during high season. We ate, drank and cycled (yes, in that order) our way through some of the most idyllic places we’ve ever been, with a level of quality likely not possible by other cycle tours in the region, given that Laganini’s is owned and operated by a Croatian team. Absolutely fantastic week. Tonci and Toma are the best company – relaxed and fun, with everything organised to perfection. Each day was different, with a mixture of beautiful scenery, great cycling ( we had road bikes and E bikes), lovely hotels and GREAT food. I have never been on a bike tour before and I was very nervous. The tour was amazing from the minute we met the tour team to the moment they dropped us at our last location. The trails were amazing and very challenging for the Avid cyclist. I chose an e-bike and had a wonderful experience. But it was the extra effort that the staff did. The hotels have been amazing the restaurants were fantastic and they made sure all the clients were looked after. This was the best experience for me and the entire group.

This Croatian cycling tour was easily one of the best vacations I’ve ever had! Tonci and his crew far exceeded my expectations on every level. The accommodations were top notch, the meals were spectacular, made up of local foods and beautiful restaurants, the bikes we used were fantastic and the cycling routes, although at times steep and difficult, provided stunning scenery. Tonci’s attention to detail on every level is what made this vacation extra special. He is by far the best host we could’ve hoped for. His incredible local knowledge, combined with his ability to meet all of our needs made this trip well beyond all expectation. The best cycling tour I’ve been on! Great guides with local knowledge that made the experience so much better. The routes took us off the tourist trails and onto quiet beautifully smooth roads, that were a pleasure to cycle. Easy going, never felt pressured and always willing to accommodate requests. The bikes were of good quality and support offered along the route all day. Good mix of harder days with some hill climbs, but then a very relaxed day cruising. The food- wow! Real authentic cuisine. The invitation to his family property with home cooked BBQ was a really nice touch that you wouldn’t get on a more commercial tour. Great group to cycle with with enjoyable social evenings. The range of abilities was varied, but this was not an issue at any point. There were additional trips and cultural excursions that added to the cycling and the food experience. The accommodation was excellent. Highly recommended, whatever your skill level. What made the trip however were Tonci, Toma and Tomo. Thanks for a memorable week. John & Kay

The trip with Laganini Croatia Cycling was spectacular and far exceeded my expectations!!! Tonči and Toma went above and beyond to make the experience truly enchanting. If you are reading this… stop and book this tour, before you miss the spot. This tour that I took with my wife, and 4 friends was just spectacular. We also got to know two other guests that filled up the trip and that was a nice fillup 🙂 Tonci, Toma and Tomo, made us a part of their family and we sure will miss them. Everything about this tour was perfect, the bikes (e-bikes), the food and the hotels they use, everything. They are really professional and also friendly and resourceful. Laganini Croatia Cycling tour was the best mixture of fun, fitness and exploration. Touring the Croatian Islands with expert local hosts Tonci and Toma turned our holiday into a lifetime memory. With unsurpassed attention to detail and remarkable consideration for everyone’s interests and abilities, I heartedly recommend this trip to couples and families alike (our 13 year old loved it)! The only bad part of the entire vacation was saying goodbye to our hosts and the new friends we made on the trip. Till the next one!

This was the best tour I have ever taken. I had been on two bike tours with VBT previously and this one was much better. I have also taken multiple Rick Steves’ tours and again this was better. This tour had a lot fewer participants than any other tour I have taken. Also, the lodging and meals were way better. My sister and I took this tour and had a great time. The scenery was incredible. We both rode e-bikes which were a great choice for us. We were able to complete all the planned rides and enjoyed every ride. Tonci and Tomas were incredible guides. Besides guiding the rides, they took us to the most amazing dining locations with incredible food. Also, this tour included adult beverages that non of my other tours provided. Each hotel had amazing views, pools and beach access. I highly recommend this tour.

Tonci, Franno and Tomas were wonderful. They thought of everything, were flexible and managed to accommodate three cyclists on road bikes with three non cyclists on Ebikes simultaneously! They have taken the most beautiful parts of the Dalmatian Islands and made it easy to appreciate on a bike that no other type of tour could ever accomplish. These guys leave the two largest American tour companies, VBT and Backroads, in the dust. Our leaders, Tonči and Toma, provide hotel/airport pick up and drop off, 4-star accommodations, small group size, and fantastic meals with local food, including wine/beer/cocktails at no extra charge. The bikes are in excellent condition (we used e-bikes) as well as their van and they throw in a jersey to boot. Couldn’t ask for a better bike tour.

We have been on many cycling tours throughout europe and asia but this has been the best that we have experienced, to date. The road bikes were A1, the routes were all hand picked by the owners and guides, Toma and Tonci combining fabulous scenery. hills and flats, with an airconditioned sag wagon (when the hills became too much). The food and wine were all outstanding, each restaurant was a local gourmet gem and not the usual tourist traps that you see the larger cycling groups visiting. The accomodation is all outstanding with some hotels even offering champagne at breakfast. Overall this tour stood out to us because of the fact that the tour guides were locals which made us feel that we were in good hands if there were any issues (which there weren’t). Croatian Cycling Laganini – A fantastic bike trip and wonderful exploration of Croatia – very highly recommended! From a cyclist point of view, the Dalmatian islands are wonderful. The island roads are quiet, in good repair and with quite a bit of variety (long flat coastal roads to twisty climbs/descents); there are lovely old villages and beautiful vistas. It rains very little. It is a wonderful place for a biking holiday. One of us is an avid cyclist while one of us bikes recreationally; others in our group e-biked the whole way. Even though we were a diverse group of cyclists, guides Tonci/Toma/Tomo (T3) were able to accommodate us all. The days on a bike felt flexible and un-rushed but we always felt T3 knew where we were going, what the options were and the support van was always nearby. No pressure, no stress, ride your heart out or peddle with a bit of e-assist. Flexibility means if you’re a biker and your spouse isn’t and you want to do a trip together, these guys can make it work for you. Before you come, just tell Tonci what you want—he’ll make sure you have the right itinerary, the right gear, the right support and you’re in a compatible group (thank you Tonci for pairing us with the awesome Vikings!). The biking was wonderful. The part off the bike was even better. There was not a single hiccup with transfers, accommodations or meals; everything was perfectly seamless and stress free. In particular, T3 are local to Croatia; they opened themselves up to us and we felt we learned so much about Croatia. T3 grilled us freshly caught squid at Tonci’s family olive farm; an eccentric local chef served us a delicious traditional Croatian meal in an abandoned hilltop village. There were so many moments that felt so unique and authentic—we came away feeling we had a deep dive into the Croatian culture and people. A lot of people can put you on a bike, but not many will cater to your needs so flexibly and we’re sure even fewer will allow you experience Croatia the way Laganini did for us. T3 are just amazing hosts and we are so grateful for the time we had with them—we can’t recommend them highly enough.

If you have gotten to the point that you are reading this review, I suggest that you go back and immediately book your tour with Laganini Cycling. My husband just returned from our wonderful trip to Croatia. We enjoyed 5 days of cycling that were both challenging and beautiful. We are active and fairly fit, so the cycling portion remained “do-able” without ever feeling overwhelming. Overall, it was just stunning scenery, that got better each day. There was always the option to hop on the guide’s ebiike (if you don’t opt for an ebike from the beginning) or hop in the van if you ever felt it was too much. Laganini has worked hard to seek out the best locations to ride, eat and stay. All the accommodations were excellent. And the food. Plenty of good food! You will have the opportunity to eat local specialities, all throughout, from the delicious wood-fire grilled squid lunch to the final amazing dinner from the best view in Dubrovnik. But most importantly, our owner/guides, Tonci and Toma, each brought their own set of experiences and skills to make our trip delightful. We always felt like they were working to make our trip memorable and comfortable. They approached each day with good humor. We definitely felt like they went out of their way to attend to every little need. They have that unique ability to make you feel like their favorite clients. There was a nice balance of time cycling and free time to explore. We passed many cycling tours with the “other” tour companies, and each time we were grateful we were on our tour with Laganini. Do not expect a tour in which your down time is filled with obligatory tours of churches and such. You will have a more direct connection with Croatian culture by talking with Tonci and Toma about their lives in this country. This was our first “all-inclusive” type tour. Laganini sets the bar high and surpasses it. Thanks for a delightful trip!

This was an amazing experience. 8 of us from Arizona and California decided to celebrate my 50 bday biking through Croatia. There are many choices for Croatia bike tours, some better and some not so great. It was early in the season and we did not want to go through a company that acts just as a booking agent or subcontracts its tours. We settled on Laganini and talked directly to one of the owners. All questions and concerns were adequately addressed (some members in our group had dietary preferences, others wanted to make sure that the accommodations were a step higher than what is normally offered on bike tours. After all, we are on vacation…. Our guide Tonci had grown up in the area, was knowledgeable and showed us places that I had not seen before (or heard of), despite having vacationed in middle Dalmatia for more than 10 years. Flawless organization, pickup from the airport, perfect and newer bikes, great support for the occasional technical problem (few other than an occasional flat tire). It was a truly enjoyable tour and we will be back for more.
